Created by animators Tex Avery and Bob Clampett in 1937, Daffy Duck was an overnight sensation, wowing cinemagoers with his crazy, confident, confrontational ways.
"At that time," recalled Clampett, "audiences weren't accustomed to seeing a cartoon character do these things. So when it hit theatres, it was an explosion. People left talking about this daffy duck!"
